Things to do for families

Children of all ages love Florianopolis. There are beaches to suit every family. Small children can play to their hearts content in calm, shallow waters while their parents watch from a beachside cafe. Older children have great fun learning to surf, kiyak or windsurf. Away from the beach, there are waterparks and activities such as sand boarding and horse-riding. For rainy days, there is a cinema with English films, ten pin bowling and a number of soft play centres within an easy drive.

Brazil is a very child friendly country, and children and parents will be made to feel at home in restaurants and cafes.

Banana Tree

We welcome families at The Banana Tree, and will do our very best to help make your family holiday stress-free, safe and pleasurable. Families with young children are welcome to use our kitchen to prepare meals, and we are happy to shop for special or bulky items such as nappies or favourite foods ready for when you arrive. We have two family rooms each with one double bed and a single bed, and room for a cot/travel cot.

Within walking distance of The Banana Tree are beaches, a playground and a pottery studio where children can explore their creative talents!

Prices for families

Children under the age of 12 are charged at half price. Families sharing a family room can also enjoy a reduced rate. Please see our bookings page for details.
